I was very surprised when I went to visit Uber Eats this week. They have grown like crazy. And they’ve added some of the very best dishes from some of San Miguel’s very best chefs.

With an emphasis more on lunch than dinner, and a focus on affordability, here are seven of my favorites. I’m betting some might soon become your favorites, too.

Reuben sandwich. $135

Perhaps America’s greatest sandwich creation. Luna de Queso. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Three lamb barbacoa tacos and a bowl of consome. $110

I’ve been eating barbacoa there for 16 years. Now I can do it at home. El Pato Barbacoa y Mixiotes. 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Cochinita Pibil sandwich. $140

I don’t think any country has done a pork dish as well as Mexico. Ojo de Agua. 8:00 am to 6:30 pm

Carne en su jugo plato grande. $240 (enough for two)

One of Mexico’s undiscovered delights. La Milagrosa Birria Xalisco. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

El pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. $169

Why I no longer make my own grilled cheese sandwiches at home. Inside Cafe. 9:00 am to 2:45 pm

Three tacos (pastor, longaniza, cecina). $89

Choosing just three tacos from their amazing menu was the hardest part about writing this. Sabroso Taqueria. 12:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Tonkotsu ramen. $250 (enough for two)

Their ramen was always the best in San Miguel. Recently, it got better. Chikatana. 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
